Cohort Builder and Dataset Builder

In the Data tab of your workspace, you have access to two point-and-click tools: the Cohort Builder and the Dataset Builder.

Cohort Builder

With the Cohort Builder, you can include and exclude participants to build a cohort for your research project. You can add criteria based on the program data available in your selected data tier (Registered Tier or Controlled Tier).

You can also review and annotate a subset of your cohort to validate your inclusion and exclusion criteria in cohort review.

Dataset Builder

With the Dataset Builder, you can select the values of interest or concepts that you are interested in researching in your cohort of participants. When creating a dataset, you will select your concept set (e.g., demographics, Fitbit heart rate summary, all surveys, etc.) and the values (e.g., person_id, etc.).
