Are participants required to respond to all questions within a given survey?

  • Updated

No, participants may “skip” any question within a survey. Items that are seen by participants, but “skipped” will be denoted with a concept code (PMI_Skip). In addition, surveys may also include “child” or “follow-up” questions that only display for participants if a select response is chosen for a previous item - the rules that indicate whether a participant sees a “follow-up” question are denoted in the “Branching Logic” column of each survey codebook tab.
