The All of Us Researcher Workbench is expanding its portfolio of research datasets. We are excited to share that deidentified ECHO Cohort data is now available in the Researcher Workbench. This new resource provides researchers with additional opportunities to investigate factors that shape child health and development.

What Is the ECHO Program?
The NIH Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) Cohort Study incorporates longitudinal data from more than 46,000 pregnancies, 42,000 children, and 900 partners across 69 pediatric cohorts. The study investigates how exposure to environmental factors, including physical, chemical, biological, social, behavioral, natural, and built environments, may impact child health and development. Because ECHO and All of Us are separate studies with independently enrolled participants, the datasets remain distinct and ECHO data is not linked to All of Us participant records.
How Do I Access ECHO Data in the Researcher Workbench?
To access ECHO data, researchers must meet the following requirements:
- Register for the All of Us Researcher Workbench.
- Be affiliated with an institution that has signed the Data Use and Research Agreement (DURA) allowing ECHO access.
- Review and sign the August 2026 version of the All of Us Data User Code of Conduct. If you registered before August 2026, log in to the Workbench to sign the latest version.
