Release of Researcher Workbench 2.0 for CDRv8 Controlled Tier

As of February 24th, 2026, we’re excited to announce that CDR v8 Controlled Tier data is now available in the Researcher Workbench 2.0, powered by Verily Pre

What you need to know

  • The All of Us v8 Controlled Tier dataset is available as a data collection in the Researcher Workbench 2.0. 
  • You can access the updated platform using your same Researcher Workbench login credentials.
  • All Researcher Workbench access requirements will remain the same. 
  • The current Researcher Workbench will no longer be supported beyond Summer 2026.

During beta phase (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026) 

  • You may create new workspaces in the current Researcher Workbench and/or Researcher Workbench 2.0.
  • Not all features will be available in Researcher Workbench 2.0 - new features will be rolled out over time.

After beta

  • You can only create new workspaces in Researcher Workbench 2.0.
  • Existing Researcher Workbench workspaces will be migrated to Researcher Workbench 2.0 during a transition period. More details on the migration plan will be shared with researchers soon.
