Login.gov Identification Verification

  • Updated

Starting on October 27th 2021, all registered researchers will need to have updated their profiles to include a Login.gov account to verify their identity and access the All of Us Researcher Workbench.

Login.gov is a secure service used by the public to sign-in to participating government agencies. At time of implementation, you will see a reminder flag with a link to connect to Login.gov on your Workbench homepage.  If you already have a Login.gov account, you simply need to connect it to your Workbench user account, similar to how you connected your eRA Commons account when you first registered. If you do not have an account, you will need to create a Login.gov account to securely access your information on the Researcher Workbench. You will be able to use the same username and password to access any agency that partners with Login.gov.  This streamlines your process and eliminates the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords.

Some important things to note are:

  • If you are unable to create a Login.gov account and update your profile by October 27th, your account will be frozen until you are able to do so.
  • You will NOT lose any workspaces or current notebooks in your account; however, you will NOT have access to your work until the update is completed.
  • For a tutorial on how to sign up for an account, see the attached pdf.
  • If you experience technical issues or are unable to sign up for a Login.gov account for any reason, please fill out our Login.gov Assistance Form and reach out to the Help Desk team at support@reasearchallofus.org
