The All of Us Research Program’s Data and Research Center is dedicated to improving the ways we provide, release, and govern the All of Us dataset and to expanding analysis capabilities and user satisfaction for registered researchers.
Beginning in fall 2025, researchers will have the opportunity to use an updated Researcher Workbench powered by Verily Workbench. With this change, we're aiming to provide researchers with more data exploration and analysis tools, improved ease of use, and access to more cloud capabilities.
What should I expect?
Starting in fall 2025, you will have the option to use the legacy (what you see today) or the updated Researcher Workbench. During this time, we recommend exploring the updated features and tools and providing feedback on your experience.
In early 2026, you will be encouraged to use the updated Researcher Workbench with the ability to access the legacy version as needed. Later in 2026, the legacy Workbench will be decommissioned, and our team will work closely with you to ensure legacy workspaces and data analysis are retained and migrated to the updated experience.
What should I do to prepare?
Nothing - our teams are hard at work developing the updated Researcher Workbench experience. When the update is available, we will share information directly with researchers.
What if I have questions?
As more information becomes available, we will communicate updates and changes with you. News and updates will also be posted on the User Support Hub as relevant.
