Resource Highlight: an R Package | Office Hours 11.8.24

In this video, Rob Cavanaugh, Ph.D., CCC-SLP and Louisa Smith, Ph.D., from Northeastern University give a presentation titled, "allofus: an R package to facilitate use of the All of Us Researcher Workbench."

Using the All of Us Research Program data for complex research questions requires a relatively high level of technical expertise. Recently, Drs. Cavanaugh and Smith published an R package, allofus, aimed at increasing research and training capacity and reducing barriers to entry for the All of Us community through an R package.

In this presentation, they describe functionality that addresses common challenges they encountered while working with All of Us Research Program data, demonstrate this functionality with an example of creating a cohort of All of Us participants, and discuss directions for future growth and community engagement.
