  • Updated

Welcome to a deep dive into the electronic health record (EHR) data in the All of Us Researcher Workbench!

In this video, Cathy Shyr, Ph.D., a research fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, provides an in-depth workshop on EHR data and the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model.

This workshop includes self-guided exercises to help you understand how to work with OMOP tables, explore OMOP concepts, and build cohorts with EHR data for analysis.

During this workshop, you'll learn:

  • About the OMOP Common Data Model
  • How EHR data is curated and organized
  • How to work with OMOP tables and concepts
  • How to build cohorts with the Cohort Builder and Dataset Builder
  • How to build cohorts with SQL code in your analysis environment
  • How to work with longitudinal EHR data

This video can be paired with the "Introduction to Phenotypic and Survey Data" featured workspace (requires Researcher Workbench login).
